Billy has been with the University since 2017. Prior to that he worked in the fire service with Rome Fire Department for 10 years. He has multiple certifications relating to Fire Safety including: Fire Inspector, Plan Reviewer (NFPA), Fire and Life Safety Educator, and Fire Investigator. Billy specializes in Fire and Life Safety protection systems and has an associate degree in Fire Science obtained from Columbia Southern University.
As a Fire Safety Inspector, Billy fills several roles at ESD. This includes annual fire and life safety inspections of UGA facilities, construction site inspections and consultations, plan review for new construction and renovations, and fire investigation.
