Tim first began working for the Environmental Safety Division at UGA in a part-time role in 2017. He earned his bachelor's degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Management from Mercer University and moved to a full-time position with the ESD at the beginning of Fall 2021. He enjoys spending time with his wife, traveling, cooking, fishing, and watching football.
Tim splits his time working with the Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Safety team (IHOS) and the Office of Fire Safety. His daily tasks and responsibilities include the monthly inspections of safety showers and eye wash stations that are located in science labs across the entire campus. He also helps to complete the monthly fire extinguisher inspections for the buildings and farms that are on and off campus, as well as maintaining the fire extinguisher inventory that is located in the ESD warehouse.
